DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity (2010) — Ernst & Young has been named to the list for our demonstrated use of measurable diversity best practices and results. Ranked fifth on the list, we demonstrated strength in the four areas measured — CEO commitment, Human Capital, Corporate and Organizational Communications and Supplier diversity.

 

Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (February 2010) — Ernst & Young was included in the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council’s listing of America’s Top Corporations for Women’s Business Enterprises. 

 

Professional Woman’s Magazine (February 2010) — Professional Woman’s Magazine spotlighted Ernst & Young as one of the Top Diversity Employers for Women and for having one of the Top Supplier Diversity Programs for Women.

 

FORTUNE "100 Best Companies to Work For" (January 2010) — For the 12th consecutive year, Ernst & Young is among FORTUNE magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For," ranking 44 overall on the prestigious list and 12 among large companies. The distinction reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a culture that helps our people reach their full potential and fostering a flexible and inclusive work environment that supports people both personally and professionally.


Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Award (December 2009) — For the 12th consecutive year, Ernst & Young was a Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) award winner, one of 20 organizations recognized. Ernst & Young is also a member of the MAKE Hall of Fame, one of 22 global organizations that has won the award since 1998. 

 

Looking for the best places to launch a career? (September 2009) —  For the third year running, Ernst & Young ranks in the top three on BusinessWeek’s list of the best US employers for new college graduates. The magazine surveyed 60 college career services directors and 60,000 undergrads. Employers submitted statistics on everything from pay and benefits to training programs and retention.

100 Best Companies for Working Mothers (September 2009) — Ernst & Young ranked among the top 10 companies on Working Mother magazine’s annual 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers list for the fourth year in a row. This is the 12th consecutive year that Ernst & Young has been on the list, which recognizes employers whose workplace initiatives — including benefits programs, network groups and employee resources — are leading the US movement to build and maintain supportive work environments for working parents.

Working Mother magazine’s Best Companies for Multicultural Women (July 2009) — Ernst & Young is among the 20 companies noted as outstanding workplaces for multicultural women in Working Mother magazine’s seventh annual diversity study. This marks our third consecutive year on the list.

Ernst & Young is ranked No. 1 Ideal Employer … for the second year in a row! (May 2009) — Ernst & Young is the No. 1 Ideal Employer for the second year in a row! This is according to the Universum US Undergraduate survey, which polled business and accounting majors. And we were named No. 6 across all majors, making us the highest-ranking accounting organization.

Ernst & Young ranked among Equal Opportunity’s ‘Top 50 Employers’ list (February 2009) — Equal Opportunity magazine has named Ernst & Young one of their top 50 employers for providing a positive working environment for members of minority groups. Readers of Equal Opportunity were asked to name employers from both public and private sectors for whom they feel exemplify a fair atmosphere in the work place. “Inclusiveness is a global transformational priority at Ernst & Young and essential to our success," says Billie Williamson, Americas Director of Inclusiveness. "This honor is meaningful because our goals include being among the elite organizations that are 'top of mind' when people think of those that are walking the talk when it comes to inclusiveness."

DiversityInc’s Top 50 Companies for Diversity (2009) — Ernst & Young ranked third on the list. DiversityInc magazine highlighted our excellent mentoring program, progressive work/life policies, benefits for same-sex domestic partners of employees and our strong employee-resource groups.

DiversityInc’s Top 10 Companies for People with Disabilities (2009) — Ernst & Young ranked second on this list based on our recruiting, retention and promotion of employees with disabilities, and our employee-resource groups.

DiversityInc’s Top 10 Companies for LGBT Employees (2009) — Ernst & Young ranked #1 on this list based on human capital, CEO commitment, corporate communications and supplier diversity.

The Dave Thomas Foundation, Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces (2009) — For the third year in a row, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption named Ernst & Young one of the 100 employers that offer the best adoption benefits in the nation. Rankings are based on the amount of financial reimbursement and paid leave for employees who adopt.

CAREERS & the disABLED’s Top 50  Employers  For People With  Disabilities  (2009) — Ernst & Young ranked #17 in preference among companies nominated by this publication’s readers — the only one of the Big Four to be on the list.

Hispanic Business magazine’s Diversity Elite 60 (September 2008) —This is the third year in a row that Hispanic Business magazine has honored Ernst & Young with this recognition.We achieved the No. 37 position on the Diversity Elite 60, up two places from last year.

Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (September 2008) — For the fourth year in a row, Ernst & Young earned a 100% rating in the HRC Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index. We were the first of the Big Four firms to do so. Ernst & Young now places among HRC’s Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality. Our 100% score reflects Ernst & Young’s active support of an inclusive workplace for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Since receiving the 100% rating, we have received emails from interns and experienced hires describing how the HRC rating played a part in their career decisions to join Ernst & Young.

The 2008 WebAward (September 2008) — The Web Marketing Association has presented Ernst &Young with the 2008 WebAward for outstanding achievement in website development in the financial services industry. The award recognizes the US site of ey.com for setting a standard of excellence. Entries are judged on design,copywriting,innovation,content,interactivity, navigation and use of technology. Now in its 12th year,the WebAwards is a leading annual website award competition that names the best websites in 96 industries.

HOT List Indexes Best Companies for LGBT Graduates (August 2008) — Ernst & Young is among sixteen companies receiving the "Burning Hot" rating in the student LGBT affinity group OUT for Work's 2008-09 Hiring Out Talent List (HOT List). The annual index brings together the two elements that Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Ally college students are most concerned with who is hiring and how inclusive are the work environments are.One hundred and twenty three organizations made the HOT List this year and received either a "Hot", "Hotter" or "Burning Hot" rating.

Best employer for undergraduate business students (June 2008) — Ernst & Young is the number one employer for undergraduate business students, according to Universum USA. The 2008 survey, the largest of its kind in the US, included responses from more than 40,000 college students. Ernst & Young is recognized for its outstanding internship program, innovative campus events — and ground -breaking recruitment strategies. We are proud that we communicate our culture and values in a way that resonates with the new generation of college students.

2008 Recruiting Excellence Awards (April 2008) — Ernst & Young received top honors as Best College Recruiting Program and Best Employer Brand in the 2008 Recruiting Excellence Awards. The sponsor, ERE Media, provides online information and networking opportunities for recruiters and HR professionals. The awards recognize companies that excel at developing and implementing recruiting, branding and retention programs.

Hispanic Enterprise magazine’s Top 50 Corporations for Supplier Diversity (February-March 2008) — This annual program acknowledges US companies deemed most committed to offering minority business owners opportunities to get the contracts that can help cement their futures.

Training Hall of Fame (February 2008) — Ernst & Young was inducted into the inaugural class of Training magazine's Hall of Fame. Along with five other global organizations, we qualified for this honor by being ranked within the Top 10 of Training's Top 125 companies for five consecutive years. We are proud to be recognized for our long-term commitment to helping our people grow and succeed at every stage of their careers. Ernst & Young is the only member of the Big Four on this list, with six years running in the Top 10.

CollegeGrad.com Top 10 Entry-Level Employer (January 2008) — CollegeGrad.com is the number-one entry-level job site on the internet and is the leader in the field of entry-level job search.

Best in E-Discovery Services (January 2008) — Our Forensic Technology and Discovery Services group is among the top 10 providers of e-discovery services, according to the 2007 Socha-Gelbmann Electronic Discovery Survey. The widely respected and independent annual survey analyzes organizations at the forefront of e-discovery, including leading law firms and Fortune1000 companies.

National Minority Business Council, Inc.’s Outstanding Corporate Supplier Diversity Award (November 2007) — The award recognizes Ernst & Young’s outstanding procurement record of goods and services with minority and women-owned businesses. Our commitment to establishing and maintaining best procurement practices led us to develop a purchasing database system that incorporates key supplier diversity information.

The Branding Zone Awards (October 2007) — The League of American Communications Professionals presented The Branding Zone with a 2007 Silver Spotlight Award (intranet division) and named the site to its list “Top 100 Communications Materials of 2007.” For the second year in a row, the International Academy of the Visual Arts’ W3 Awards program named The Branding Zone a Silver Winner. The award honors creative excellence on the Web. The Branding Zone earned a 2007 Web Marketing Association WebAward for Outstanding website. The Web Marketing Association acknowledged The Branding Zone for extraordinary efforts in pursuit of the standard of excellence.

Computerworld’s Smithsonian Award — This award acknowledged three of our technology initiatives: our Ernst & Young/Auditor’s Workstation (an electronic workstation for auditors and other practitioners), our distance learning system and Ernst & Young’s pioneering online advisory service, Ernst & Young Online. All three are now part of the National Museum of American History’s permanent research collection on Information Technology Innovation.

Black Collegian Top 100 Diversity Employers (Fall 2007) — Our commitment to an inclusive workplace helped Ernst & Young land the No.14 spot on Black Collegian’s Top 100 Diversity Employers. The publication has recognized Ernst & Young for over six years.

Out & Equal Workplace Award (October 2007) — Out & Equal Workplace Advocates has honored Ernst & Young with its 2007 award for Significant Achievement in recognition of our strides to advance a fair and equitable workplace for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their allies. During the past year we’ve worked to raise awareness of LGBT people and issues both internally and in the greater community through discussion of our workplace policies with other business leaders and by getting our people involved.

InformationWeek 500 (September 2007) — For the seventh year in a row, InformationWeek named Ernst & Young as one of the nation’s most innovative and efficient users of information technology. InformationWeek bases its list on a company’s business technology strategies, investments, innovation and administrative practices.

Diversity Elite 60 (September 2007) —  Ernst & Young is one of Hispanic Business magazine's Diversity Elite 60 (formerly Top 50 Companies for Hispanics), our second year on the list and the only Big Four firm to receive the distinction. The publication evaluates more than 30 variables that measure commitment to Hispanic hiring, promotion, marketing, philanthropy , and supplier diversity.

Computerworld’s 2007 Best Places to Work in IT (June 2007) — Ernst & Young made the vaunted “100 Best,” coming in at No.36. Computerworld bases its list on independent surveys of employees at US organizations with more than $250 million in revenues and at least 100 US IT employees.

Silver Sabre Award (May 2007) — This award recognizes Ernst & Young’s efforts around inclusiveness, recruiting and fostering a deeper sense of our culture. Ernst & Young won in the Professional Services category for a communications campaign built upon our culture. The awards program is the most widely recognized within the PR community.

The Public Relations Society of America Big Apple Award (May 2007) — Ernst & Young won in the category of Reputation Management. We also received an honorable mention for our communications work surrounding Beyond, our affinity group for LGBT employees and their allies, which includes the PR work for our Making it Realreport, as well as the Beyond video and brochure. It also includes our participation in the Out and Equal initiative.

2007 Recruiting Excellence Awards (April 2007) — Ernst & Young received top honors as Best College Recruiting Program winner in the 2007 Recruiting Excellence Awards at the ERE Expo 2007 Sprint Conference and Exhibition hosted by ERE Media, which provides online information and networking opportunities for recruiters and HR professionals. The awards recognize companies that excel at developing and implementing recruiting and retention programs.

PR News, Corporate Social Responsibility Award (March 2007) — Ernst & Young received this award for diversity communications, including education and awareness, policy change, recruitment and retention and internal and external communications. PR Newsspecifically cited our LGBT Making It Realreport in its remarks.

INROADS Best of Class Conference (March 2007) — Ernst & Young received top honors at the 9th Annual Best of Class Conference sponsored by INROADS, Inc., the leading provider of employment opportunities for talented minority youth in business and industry in the U.S. In FY 2006, we hired 158 INROADS interns, a 76% increase over FY 2005. Our retention rate of 94.4% of INROADS interns was the highest of any organization, and our firm was among the national sponsors with the highest percentage of INROADS interns who became full-time employees.

Disabilities Matters Award (February 2007) — Ernst & Young is one of only six companies to receive the first annual Disabilities Matters Award presented by Springboard Consulting and Work Life Matters magazine. The honor recognizes our pioneering dedication to creating an enabling environment for people with disabilties by providing innovative practices and programs addressing the needs of employees with disabilties and employees with children with special needs. The winning companies' disabilities and special-needs programs will be featured in the spring 2007 issue of Work Life Matters.

Top 50 Employers for People with Disabilities (January 2007)CAREERS & the disABLED magazine has ranked Ernst & Young as one of the top 50 companies for people with disabilities. We are the only Big Four firm to be included in the publication's 16th annual survey asking readers to name employers for whom they would most like to work or that they believe would provide a progressive environment for people with disabilities.
